Clifford was born 18 February 1919 in West Maitland New South Wales to Owen Pearson and Winnie Greta (Stacey) Jurd, he had one sibling, a sister Aileen. 

He enlisted in Newcastle, New South Wales and gave his father Owen as his next of kin. 

Private Clifford Jurd died of injuries received in a road accident. 

Clifford Foch Jurd’s name is on Taree Roll of Honour board and also  located at panel 86; Supplementary panel 3 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
