Ronald was born 26 September 1922 in Brisbane, Queensland, to Charles Henry and Ada (Harris) Kohn. His known siblings are, Mabel Evelyn born 1912, Vera 1914, Kenneth Lawrence 1916, Olive Muriel 1918, Beryl Elizabeth died 1930, Charles Henry died 1971, and Alfred Ernest who died 1980. 

He enlisted in Gympie, Queensland and gave his father Charles as his next of kin and his occupation was a farmer.  His height was 5 feet 6½ inches, brown eyes, very dark hair. 

Ronald died of injuries when he fell down a flight of stairs at the rear of the Babinda Hotel.

Ronald William Kohn’s name is on Biloela Roll of Honour board and also located at panel 52 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
