Adam Gordon McNab was born 25 June 1919 in Cairns to John and Jane (McMurton) McNab. 

On his enlistment he gave his father, John McNab, as next of kin, he had brown hair, and hazel eyes. His occupation was a labourer.

Adam served in Milne Bay.

On the 29 May 1944 Adam was run over by a rail motor north of Gordonvale, Queensland, and died in hospital from the injuries he received.

Adam Gordon McNab’s name is on the Cairns Roll of Honour board and his name is located at panel 38 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
