Lindsay was born 8 January 1913 in Elsternwick, Victoria, to George and Emily Lily (Adams) Peake and he had a brother and sister.  He married Cybyle Amy Thurlow in 1934 and had one son.

In the 1937 Electoral Roll for Mildura his occupation was a departmental manager.  The year he joined the armed forces, his father died in the November.  

The records have his cause of death as illness.

Lindsay Adams Peake’s name is on Elsternwick Roll of Honour board and also located at panel 83 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
