Walter was born in Elsternwick, Victoria on 5 February 1913 to Walter Leslie and Laura Beatrice (Orr) Rowe and he had two sisters, Beatrice Amelia born 1911 and Beryl Margaret born 1913.  His occupation was a tailor and his father Walter was his next of kin. 

Walter married Eileen June Robinson in 1941. 

Cause of death was accidental drowning.

Walter Adrian Rowe’s name is on the Heidelberg Roll of Honour board and also located at panel 86; Supplementary panel 3 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial
