Kenneth Tree was born in Murwillumbah, New South Wales 28 August 1909 to William Thomas and Christina (Gillies) Tree and had two sisters and one brother, Margaret born 1911, William born 1912 and Greta 1916.

He married Doris Ellen Burns in 1929 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales.

Kenneth enlisted in Brisbane on the 11 March 1941 and gave his next of kin as his wife Doris, his occupation a labourer, living at Aspley in Brisbane. He had dark hair and brown eyes.

He was stationed at North Queensland.

Kenneth was admitted to Australian General Hospital with pneumonia on 3 February 1945 and died of pulmonary embolism on 4 February 1945.

Kenneth Malcolm Tree’s name is on the Murwillumbah Roll of Honour board and is also located at panel 86; Supplementary panel 3 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
