Cairns Family History Workshop
Ryerson Index – Founded 1998
The Ryerson Index is a free index to death notices appearing in Australian newspapers. The date range covered extends from the Sydney Gazette of 1803 up to newspapers published within the last week or so. The Index also includes funeral notices and some probate notices and obituaries.
We will be running a hands-on, face-to-face session to support you to learn how to use this wonderful database. You will be allocated a computer for the session and our research assistants will support you through the session.
