Ronald was the son of Amedro Joseph and Ada Allison Ward (Payne) Ferrario, born 26 March 1916 and he had two sisters, Beryl and Barbara.

He married Agnes Meekle Pate Tough in 1939.

Private Ronald Ferrario was killed in a road accident, with Gunner Roy James Copland.

Private Ronald John Ferrario’s name is on the Roll of Honour at Kurri Kurri, New South Wales and also located at panel 37 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
