“Duty Nobly Done” 

Douglas James Lennon was born 31 August 1908 in Hobart, Tasmania to James Michael and Ruby Grove (Cooper) Lennon .  He married Edna Pearl Phillips in Newtown, New South Wales in 1936. 

When he enlisted he changed his name to James Fraser. 

Douglas had been on training exercises on Horn Island and died of illness. 

Douglas James Lennon’s name is on Sydney Roll of Honour board and also located at panel 77 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
