Clyde’s enlistment records state he was born in Longreach, Queensland, but he was born in Kempsey, New South Wales on the 26 September 1908 to Alfred and Esther Dawson (Clyde) Mohr. He had seven siblings, Linda born 1902, Austral 1903, Victor 1905, Rita 1906, Ivy 1911, Ethel 1913, Alfred 1915.
Clyde married Irene May Bunney on the 24 September 1932 in Pomona, Queensland.
In the 1934 Electoral Roll for Tairo, he is listed as a labourer, at Gundiah in the Wide Bay area of Queensland.
He enlisted in Tairo, Queensland, and his description was, height 5 feet 10½ inches, occupation a cane farmer.
Clyde Mohr died as the result of injuries received when he was struck by a car while walking along Lake Street in Cairns.
Clyde Mohr’s name is on the Cairns Roll of Honour board and is located at panel 93 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
