Cornelius Patrick Reynolds was born 27 October 1918 to James and Mary Ellen (Collins) Reynolds, his siblings were Eveline Margaret born 1903, Michael Sydney 1906, Mary Ellen 1909, Adeline Frances 1911, James Stanley 1913, and Kevin Charles who died in 1927.

He became engaged to Olive Dorothy Thrupp in April 1941.

Patrick was living in Roma when he enlisted 20 May 1941, his occupation was a dam sinker, single with brown hair and blue eyes.

Patrick Reynolds died of Empyema contracted in New Guinea.  He was admitted to Cairns General Hospital 17 July 1942 and died 8 August 1942.  Request was made by his mother to take him home to Toowoomba for burial, which was not granted.

Patrick Reynolds’s name is on the Toowoomba Roll of Honour board and also located at panel 69; Supplementary panel 1 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
