Ronald William Wines was born in Tasmania on the 28 November 1921 to William Henry and Ivy Irene (McCarthy) Wines.

He enlisted in Brighton, Tasmania, and gave his father, William Wines, as next of kin. Ronald’s occupation was a Tin Miner.

He died in Cairns, Queensland, of accidental injuries.

Ronald William Wines’s name is on the Derby Roll on Honour board and also located at panel 18 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
