Rodger (Rowdgers) Nicholson Hall was born 1896 to Thomas Raynes Hall and Georgina Ethel Mant Miller and had 2 siblings, Lindsay Gordon born 1894 and Muriel Lucy Ida 1910.
His brother Lindsay Gordon also served in France and returned home safely on the 10 June 1919.
On his enlistment he was residing on the Esplanade, Cairns, 21 years of age, occupation was Bank Accountant, his next of kin, his father Thomas Raynes Hall, Esplanade, Cairns. He was 5 feet 7 inches, weighed 140 pounds with fresh complexion, blue eyes and dark hair. His religion was Church of England. He also stated that he had spent 4 years in the Junior Cadets and 3 years in the Citizen Forces.
Rodger Nicholson Hall was killed in action in France on the 28 May 1918, buried in Le Blangey Military Cemetery, re-interred in the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
