Thomas Henry Lee was born 1891 to Thomas Lee and Winifred Collins. There were 5 children in the family, Ellen born 1889, Joseph 1892 and died 1892, then Thomas 1893 and William Patrick 1899. His father Thomas died in 1927 and mother Winifred in 1943.
On his enlistment in Cairns he gave his age as 23, occupation as a Labourer and next of kin was his father Thos. Lee, Freshwater, Cairns. His height was 5 feet 7 ¼ inches, weighed 140 pounds with fair complexion, blue eyes and fair hair. His religion was Catholic. Thomas attended the Freshwater State School.
Thomas Henry was wounded in action in Belgium on the 21 September 1917, admitted to the 17th Casualty Clearing Station, Belgium and died of wounds 2 September 1917. He was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Lijssenthoek, Flanders, Belgium.
